FAQs?  //

1. What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a manual skill that introduces specific impulses, called adjustments, into the joints of the body, especially spinal vertebrae. An adjustment removes a severe form of spinal stress, which is a condition that puts pressure on nerves, unbalances your body, lowers your resistance to disease and weakens you.

2. What does a chiropractor do?

A Chiropractor works with your nervous system by removing misaligned bones of your spine that place pressure on a nerve. This condition is called a subluxation and only a chiropractor is able to determine if you have this condition and correct it using various highly specialized techniques, that replace the misplaced vertebrae to release pressure on the nerves.

3. What causes misalignments to the spine?

There are numerous sources of stress that occur to your spine every day. They include stressors such as work, poor diet, bad posture, lack of sleep and exercise. Other impairments to your spine include physical stress such as a fall, sports injury or car accident and these are usually the main traumas that cause sudden symptoms and an immediate need for a chiropractor. These are all factors in your life that need to be addressed along with chiropractic care to have better health and longevity.

4. How do I know if I need an adjustment?

Many think that you only need an adjustment when you have pain. However, you can have a pinched nerve and not even know it. This is because most of the signals a nerve carries are to tell your body how to function and only a small portion are pain signals. This means you can have tremendous impairments to how your body operates and not feel any pain. A chiropractor can locate spinal stress and correct it before it debilitates your quality of life.

5. What conditions can chiropractic improve?

By removing interference to your nervous system and allowing your body to heal naturally there are numerous conditions that have benefited from chiropractic treatment. A few of the conditions include digestive issues, musculoskeletal conditions, increased immune system, colds, scoliosis, respiratory, allergies, high blood pressure, reproductive issues, PMS, infertility, colic and bed-wetting in children. In our patient services page you will find more information about specific conditions that have had improvements with chiropractic treatment.
